Two babies and one lady

Two babies means two baby hats. One est blue one est pink...For some odd reason they are not the same size however. I fail at recalling what needles I used on the pink baby hat three months ago. I guess I will need to make another Pink one to match the blue.

I am as tired as un toasted toast. I am still car - less. Hopefully only until Monday. Then I can get my post out post hast. With no car I have been spending more time with my parents at there home. I got up the other morning to leave for school and sitting in the toaster were these two pieces of white bread just sitting there. My dad forgot to toast them and eat them so they just sat there. It really was quite funny.

I loving SP email.

8. What other crafts or Do-It-Yourself things do you like to do

I love to bead and sew. Unfortunates I am not so hot on the sewing part. But I glue well. I started Beading when I was a child and have done all sorts of weird beaded things that follow no rhyme or reason. I do them just because I like to. I want to learn how to spin this year.

10. What's your favorite color? Or--do you have a color family/season/palette you prefer?

I love color. There are very few colors that I don't find stunning in a sense. I love to turn ugly things into pretty things. I love colors that have to do with water and sunsets, I love fall and winter colors I just love color. One of my profs once told me I had good color senses and I think it has gone to my head ever since. Drama, subtle, intense, natural...I like it all.

26. Is there anything that you collect?

I collect Turtles made out of natural things like wood, stone, and wicker. Or just ones I like. I also like vintage sewing notions.

I am a collecter of stuff.

SP 4 a couple here a couple there

A couple answers here a couple there!

11. What is your family situation? Do you have any pets

I have a very wonderful family situation. If not a little odd to most people. My Parents, Grandparents, and Sister all live close by. I have a home for myself and my hobbies...A studio if you will. I spend a lot of time there working on things and live there when I go to school. Than my Girlfriend (Sonny), and her mom (Becky) have a home that is across the river from me where I spend as much time as possible.

We have several pets that I adopt as my own. There is Stevie the two year old Bichon - Shitzo mix who is a wild child, and blind. Then there is Cody who is a blue heeler who likes just a little attention all the time. Shep is a pom who thinks he is the king of the house, he rules from the sofa arm rest. Then we have Sebastion (I always have to say it with French accent) the cat, he is an orange fur ball of purrre cat. There is Renegade the rooster, yes he crows whenever he feels like it. Then the mini herd of bunnies- Mr Bunny, Mrs. Bunny, and Sweet Betty Bunny. I think that covers all the animals. Can you tell one of us works for a vet office.

15. What is/are your current knitting obsession/s?

I am a little obsessed with knitting a certain stitch at the moment. A cross weave stitch seems to be in everything I have knit recently. Other then that I am trying to finish three projects before I start any more. Next on the list is a pair of socks made out of the yarn from Marti - Wee Bug Knits.

21. Are you a sock knitter?

I am learning how to make socks. I have made a couple little Christmas socks but I am ready to tackle a real sized one. As soon as I finish my three projects.

Being Deaf

I am learning ASL (American Sign Language) ...slowly.

We had a ear plug project this week and it was tough. Now I need to write a reaction paper. I have so much to say and can only turn in a page... double spaced.

I have so much to say.

Give and Get

I started my day out rough.

I have no car, to much homework, wierd work hours, and not enough time in the day. I feel like I am leaving people out who I should see, and can't. I feel very selfish that I just don't want to see any one or do any thing. I know I need me time and it is not happening and the molment which is hard. I can't even get myself anywhere to just be away for a minute I would be happy with a nanosecond.

All this crap is making me stressed and tired.

basically I am having a very bad day. Just craptacular and people are being....People.

I came into work with this attitude and have been here for little more then an hour. When in walks the flower lady. Guess what those flowers are for me.

During the ice day my Father and I gave a ride to a family across the bridge and they sent us the flowers to say thanks.

12 long stem white roses.

I think I can handle the day now. I think it will be ok. I just got to get back to the simple be nice and do nice.

There is a wee baby moon lyin' on its back with its funny little toes in the air. And its all alone in that big blue sky but the wee baby moon doesn't care. Baby moon keep shining on me.

Icicles are still clinging to the cars. The parking lots are an ice rink full of giant bumping cars. I'm Still standing has a great icicle picture for those who need some solid visualization. My little blog has been pictureless for a while I will have to remedy that next week and do a little updating. That is if I ever thaw out.

I have been knitting. My very own kool aid dyed yarn, its quite fabulous if I do say so my self. It is in these colors pink, mauve, Burgundy, lime, grove, and sage. I like it and am impressed that I got these colors with kool aid. SO we shall see if the pictures will arrive tomorrow. Have a good Sunday.

With a wish I set it free

Whimsey has entered my life. Enjoyment of the simple things make the harder things not so hard.

Take time to breathe and knit a little, my goals for the next three days.

Braking the cycle

I don't wake up every morning ready for the daily adventure. I start with a lazy smile and the ritual hitting of the snooze button. I like to wake up in a manner more fitting to that of a slower life style, relaxing in the arms of early morning slumber.

I like to stretch my days long into the night. Finding little pieces of my day to mull over, laughing at the obscure, and wondering about the future. It pleases me to make a night of sleep worth taking. My beds is a cloud worth falling into, from feather topper to puffy down comforter. It’s a wonder that I ever leave dreamland. Alas at morning's smile I find last nights book under the pillow and the phone hidden safely under the covers. With a roll and a stretch I gather my things and get ready for an adventure and endless discoveries.

Binge

I am on a orange binge.

That first tangy taste of orange on my tongue keeps me going back for more. I am craving oranges. I have avoided oranges my whole life because they give me hives, but now I am finding myself reaching for the OJ and looking over the tangerines, blood oranges, and even the grape fruit. I am only great full it is Oranges and not chocolate.

I might have to buy yarn tomorrow..Where from and for what? Well I think it should be Elann.com. I am looking at both Highland wool in a blue tone or the cashmere wool. To stash for a perfect project!

Decisions decisions.

SO many people start school tomorrow. Like Sara from Downward facing life, and Steph from Knit Steph, we have a class room filling up of students who knit.

On that key I am going to go eat an Orange and go do some studying of Math.

I might snap

antiquity- ancient times;Especially the times preceding the middle ages. The people, especially the writers and artisans of ancient times.

acquisition- gaining

Erudite- rough, untaught, rude & having or showing profound knowledge

Ephemeral- lasting for a very brief time

The new philosophy calls all in doubt
The element of fire is quite put out;
The sun is lost and the earth, and no man's wit
Can well direct him where to look for it.
And freely men confess that this world's spent,
When in the planets and the firmament
They seek so many new; they see that this
Is crumbled out again to his atomies....
John Done (1572-1631)

Atomies - a tiny particle; a mote

I can't wait to get my nose out of this book tonight and go home and pick up the needles. But wait I forgot that I snapped the needle I was working with last night. Snapped as in broken. I love my 5's and now they are in broken knitting needle heaven. Or will be shortly when I go home and extract my poor pitiful 5 from the project it was in the midst of making.

It was not my night last night. I have been working on some little flowers from the Vogue knitting flower scarf. One or two a night before I go to bed seems to be good. Last night I made one and then the yarn snapped and the flower fell apart. Then the above mentioned death of the five. I don't know if I want to go home and proceed. Maybe tonight should be a little bit of organization and deep heart felt search for another 5.

Tomorrow my blog is going to get a face lift. Peachy background and new pic.

Good night world.

Hello

I am now back at work and back at school. It makes for a long day But I best get used to it because I have 10 more long weeks ahead.

My last post was riddled with errors. Excuse them please.

This holiday break has been a wee bits of fun. I had a lovely time with my families and wished I could have spent them with everyone all together and not fly back and forth. But I got to see everyone and there was lots of eating. But not very much knitting. I made two hallowig hats for my coworkers daughters and finished my scarf swap scarf.

Other then that nothing got done and now I have to do homework before knitting... Math homework and really I should clean my house while I am at it.

the things we do in my case the things I put off. MUST STAY FOCUSED.

Happy new year to all.
