To Lace

Suz is right I am knitting lace....but it may not be lace because I have a knit row in between my lace rows. But It is lace weight. I took some of the white lace weight yarn I got and dyed it shades of red, Orange, and pink. Only the pink really got taken over but all in in all it is a very subtle color shift. Very fun knitting.

A Density of Souls

Although it was by no means a secret, they had never discussed it in the four months since they had started lunching together.

Ok Jo and Laurie were never ment to be..but some where is a doppelganger universe that has Jo and Laurie together even though Jo would walk all over Laurie. I just like using the word Doppelganger which is a real word it means - A ghostly double of a living person, especially one that haunts its fleshly counterpart. Beth always makes me cry....

I have moved on to reading Christopher Rice's A density of souls. It is very suspensful.

I am now knitting something new...but it is not a sock. How this happened I don't know but somehow I put the sock yarn on the mantle which is buried behind a king mattress set and I need help to move it to get the sock yarn. But I am knitting something on size O needles. I got a pair of crystal palace bamboo 24 inch circs and they feel as though they are going to snap under my fingers. Must be very delicate with the new needles. Don't sit on needles and don't shove needles in bag.

What am I making...its a secret.

I have never understood why Jo doesn't marry Laurie. She always ends up with the other fellow every time I read the silly book . Each and every time I think she ot to end up with Laurie. Absurd.

I have been knitting but mostly sleeping and reading.

Threshold another odd book, and back to a classic Little Women.

Cough Cough

Ricola is my friend this evening. Somehow I have managed to get a cough thingy. I would have just stayed in bed all day except I had a math quiz this morning so I went to school and if I was going to school might as well drag myself to work. But the the silly math quiz was put off till tomorrow. Pretty much I feel like I got jipped. Now I still have to go to school tomorrow.

But enough whining. I went to goodwill this weekend and had much fun because I found some great things. Some Kaffe Fasset books that I didn't have. From the 80's but I still like them. I felt good, then, I also found a afghan book with a great crochet sampler in it, a Vouge knitting book that had all types of patterns from babies to adults, and a Jan Messent book called Knit a fantasy story. It has all these fun patterns to make little fairies and trees and all sorts of cool little stuffed stuff.

I also found some lace weight wool on cones a great Rust color, Celdon, and white. Along with the wool cones came some Pink, green, and blue Orlon that is not so bad. There was three skiens of crochet cotton in white and two in cream. Plus two fun spools of crochet cotton with silver running through it. I also found some Cream Mohair from Italy...5 skiens.

So that is my 20.00 of goodwill shopping. I feel that I did good and now can look for lace weight patterns to knit me up something.

I am almost finished with my Second of three projects and the third is well on its way . I am guessing in three days I can start my socks. YEAH!

Then I need to finish the Lizards and the baby blanket then I can start a lace project. Because of course my fingers are itching to start a new one.

1. Lost pattern to a almost finished scarf.

2. I have five pairs of #5 Boyle 10" knitting needles...these are just the ones that arn't in use and have a mate. All together I have around 9 pairs of #5 10" knitting needles.

3. How do you organize crochet hooks. I have a zillion sizes from thread all the way up to rug.

4. I ate two donuts today.

5. I realized that the7 inches of my Angelina really needed to be 9.

6. I got a new teapot, now I need to knit a cozy.

7. I left my tea at home on the coffee table without taking a sip this morning. My whole day has been thrown off by this.

8. I went to do my homework only to find I left the book at home.

9. I went to go to Arobics class only to find I left my workout clothes at home.

10. My math class tomorrow has been canceled.

Who knew

Who knew I lived less than 15 minutes away from Knitpicks?

I am ready for Thursday, however, Wednesday is late in leaving.

My body feels like it is going to fall out the soles of my feet. I will be happy to go home and soak in a tub of bubbles. To be honest I will be happy to go home and fall into bed thinking about being in a tub of bubbles.

Go home to my house and curl my feet under me. Sip hot tea and knit while listening to a movie.

My week is to long today.

1.Total amount of music files on your computer??? Zero. Not a single one on my computer. I don't own my very own computer. I use Sonny's or works. There are six computers just at my work station/cubicle.
