I am trying to get ready for a couple shows and events....

The goal is to achive sets and collections and not so much this and that. Currently it is filling in on colors my rainbow is missing. So far i have identified I am missing purple, black, and white. Now my knitting and my stitch markers are heavy in all those colors. I don't know if it is just me or the beads that don't want to follow along.

I have found some hidden treasures. I have also had to take stock of what I have in stock. Trying to find beads I bought a long time ago or retire stitch marker sets. The cute hearts are gone once these last sets are gone. I feel lucky to have found them a second time. I know I will find something I love equally as much. The hearts just looks so cute and remind me of how much I love knitting. Its hard to imagine that clicking some metal sticks would help me just relax and calm down for the day.

I have been chuging along on my Azure socks (from Knitty) and amd pleased to be at the heel on both feets. Sunday's is stitch marker day and Mon Tue Wed are sock days. It works out some how and beading sneeks in there some days.

Sorry I have no great shot of the socks or my lunch. But I might have one of the roo.

Something new...not knitted

My hands hurt...and I am sick.

So I took some pics of things I finished a while ago. This is my favorite of the group.

Tiny tiny stitch markers for socks or lace. I use mine for lace. I can knit socks without stitch markers but lace I find is easier with them. Maybe not the whole time but when you first start getting into the pattern it helps me keep track of the pattern and when I oops. These are so tiny tiny....but I love them so.

Taxes.....well the paper work is done. I finally got through the bucket of receipts. I have not finished cleaning the crafty room. It is still a giant mess. But I did move around a couple things. Its a very sq rm.

The back rm which has been mostly storage of all things Danielle for the last year plus is being finished. I don't know what the big push is for but it is changing. Colors have been picked. The walls are painted. I am not as happy with the color as I was but I am excited to get the floor painted. Its the bright blue on the color cards.

What does the future hold for this rm? Well so far it has been decided a day bed is needed and would be a lovely spot for a sewing machine....and my yarn.

I have been working on my black on black challenge. Its going good. I have not ventured into anything truly amazing. But I have thirty days left. White on white is giving me trouble. I never work with white.

Stitch marker this month have been busy. I don't know what happened but it made me smile.

Time to Stop

You know it is time to stop cleaning your space when you uncover a nice new crisp twenty dollar bill. I hate cleaning. I know it will be nice to find the things I am looking for and all...but blah.

I love knitting socks! The last couple pairs I have been working on needed tiny markers.

I also have a love for sparkle. Tiny 3 and 4 mm swarovski crystals grace these lovelies combined with tiny fresh water pearls. There is something about them that makes me want to take there picture and just watch them move from one needle to the next.

I like many people tend to stay in a fixed color world. I wear blue, green, black, and red....rarely do I branch from those colors.With beads everything goes....Making Orange and Purple or cream and toast. My knitting is like that to. Fun bright colors!

I want to make a challenge for March. To work with black on black and white on white beads. What spawned such an idea? It was class test for me in photography class. My white on white was an egg in a mini soap bath dish and black on black a high heel shoe and silk scarf...or dress I don't recall. I will have to dig them up. I don't remember how I did grade wise on them but I had fun.

Fun is the key.

have been talking to Sonny about getting some paintings to go over out bed. For like two years. Well I painted the room last year and we got a new bed....I avoided getting a head board until I got something to go over it. I am a dork like that. SO Sonny picked these out for me...From an Etsy shop. I am so proud of her for buying from Etsy!

I might not have picked these out my self but I must say that I like how they look with the green walls and the rest of the room....well no the rest of the room is not decorated. It is just three shades of green. But it gives me hope that I might some day finish it.Note on the rm. It is not technically a bedroom. It is an add on to the house and is really the workshop room. Note hour our bed fills the width of the room. Well you have about four feet from the end of the bed to the door. Little Little room.

Leah made this video and I liked it and hope to share it with you.

Who is Leah? The fabulous glass artist whom I had the great joy of going to NYC with. Not the greatest trip Etsy or Stitch Marker wise. But it was fun to learn about my local Etsy friends.

Go say hi and enjoy the video. She has made several and I like this one.




On a side note. I got a stitch marker stuck in my shawl. A thread pulled a gather in the middle. But it is blocked and waiting for its photo shoot.

I also went to my computer today only to find the monitor had gone out. So I bought a new one. ITs huge. I feel like I am looking at giant picutes of everthing.

The dogs are confused by the change of furniture and I am just glad I had the funds to buy a new one. I don't think my stitch marker biz buys a lot....but it comes in handy from time to time.

I am trying to be better about blogging. I been knitting, beading, and makeing a huge amoutnt of stitch markers.

I am excited to have a second shop carry them. Its a little scary but nice. I may take March off to simply knit a few things that I want to.

Besides my shawl. I have finished a Tom Tom cozy and I finished up a scarf and look foward to starting a new pair of socks.
