Look What I Made!





I went to Aquila Art Glass studio today....not just to make beads but to meet with LeahPellegrini and PrettyThingsJewelry And normally Littleputbooks is there as well but not this week. What do all these people have in common? Etsy. Its nice to hang out with people who are into all sorts of art and craft. Anyway I was late this week due to some sleeping issues. Actually to be fair it was the alarm clock.

Anyway on to the beads. I have had several bead making sessions these are from work session two and three. I think I am doing pretty good. I like how some of the glass reacts with the colors and they break into other colors. The pink green ivory one is one of those.

Today I had session four. I do not think I did as well on this set of beads. I used the green and orange that are in the pictures. The green is called sea weed and has some flecks in it.

No knitting today but I am going to go put my singles on the Niddy Noddy. Peace!

Spinng into spring

Spinning round round round.

I have been spinning tonight. I bought 4 oz of BFL from a local pdx Etsy shop, Painted Skeins. The colors are perfect for spring. Light to dark pink and this lush green shade. I will admit that I also

bought some BFL roving in a yellow, blue, purple. I am not quite sure how that one will spin up. There is an example in Painted Skein's sold orders.

This one I have spun so I get the long color repeats. I don't know if I am going to keep them as singles or ply it together. I have always had really good luck with singles and lace.

My socks are at a stall and the afghan is waiting for the second square to be cast on.

Tomorrow is tea time and more glass bead making. I don't know what colors I want to try but something spring like me thinks.

I did not just go look at cars.

I bought a car.

a 2007 Prius . . . Metalic grey.


Yeah I feel broke. But I feel very green. so far I average about 40 miles to the gallon. YEAH!

Go buy stitch markers because I have no money.

look at cars.
watch a lot of CSI.
work on a secert photo album present for Sonny.
Knit me some socks ....while watching CSI.

I should probably do some house work.
I really want to make some earrings.
Make some more torchwork beads.

and

I need a pedicure.

O wooo is me. Now if Tuesday would just hurry and get here.

My phone pics

In case your in wonder about the last to posts. The top most one is a picture of my city from the top of a very tall building. Mainly that is down town Portland at night. IT looks way better in person or with a better camera. Had I knowen I was going to be up there I would have taken a better camera.

The second one down is this stuffed dragon that I found when shopping with Becky. IT just tickled my fancy. Its soft fuzzy and red with gold wings and horns. It just has a lot of personality.

Knitting is good. Squares and socks. A little slow as I have been going to a torch working class...learning to make glass beads. Its great.

I will have to show them off...cause there so perfect. Well ok no they are wobble like and pointy. But they are my first torchworked beads.
